Chapter 122: Asking Chu Tian to Act Like a Dog?

"Stay at the guesthouse and tidy up a bit," Chu Tian said, waving his hand as he casually gave the instruction to Wang Jiulong.

"Master, the Wei family is participating in this year's North-South Tournament. I had originally intended to compete on their behalf. If I don't show up, what will the Wei family do?" Wang Jiulong hesitated, his expression awkward.

"Don't worry. With me there in person, the Wei family won't lose," Chu Tian chuckled.

"Xiao Tian, why don't you understand?" Long Tianjiao, having guessed Wang Jiulong's thoughts, stepped in to smooth things over. "Wang Jiulong hasn't replied to Old Master Wei, and I'm afraid that has already caused him great anxiety. We must reassure him that we are safe."

Hearing this, Wang Jiulong nodded quickly. Last night, he had called Wei Yuansheng for help, but his phone had been knocked off the cliff before he could finish speaking. Wei Yuansheng knew nothing of Chu Tian's situation and must be frantic by now.

"Fine. I will notify Old Master Wei. You just stay here and rest," Chu Tian said, patting Wang Jiulong on the shoulder with a hint of concern in his tone.

"Yes," Wang Jiulong replied, not daring to disobey. In truth, Chu Tian wanted him to stay behind for the sake of his injuries. It had only been three hours since they left the underground palace, and Wang Jiulong needed time to recover.

"Xiao Tian, to be honest, I'm also worried. I'd like to call my family," Long Tianjiao said, sounding a bit anxious. Although Chu Tian preferred not to leak their location, they were already outside the arena, so calling the Long family shouldn't pose any issues.

"Go ahead," Chu Tian agreed immediately.

Long Tianjiao took out her phone and dialed Long Jianfei’s number. "Second Uncle!" she said, taking a deep breath.

"Tianjiao? Is it really you? Where are you? Are you in any danger? Did Chu Tian do anything to you?" Long Jianfei’s voice was frantic, firing off three questions the moment he heard her.

"I'm fine, and Chu Tian didn't kidnap me," Long Tianjiao clarified quickly, seeing the misunderstanding.

"Not Chu Tian? Then who took you?" Long Jianfei asked in shock.

Long Tianjiao then explained the situation. She had indeed met with Chu Tian last night, but she had been abducted by men sent by Situ Deng. Since Situ Deng was a disciple of Wu Xingyan, the claim that Chu Tian had kidnapped her was merely a frame-up orchestrated by the two of them.

Upon hearing the truth, Long Jianfei was incensed. "The Situ family is truly bold! How dare they pull such a stunt? Do they have no respect for the Long family?" He was so furious he could barely contain himself, already wanting to settle the score with the Situ family.

"Second Uncle, don't be impulsive! The Situ family thinks I'm dead. If you confront them now, you’ll only alert them," Long Tianjiao warned. Long Jianfei fell silent for a moment.

"Second Uncle, where is Grandfather? Has he fallen for Wu Xingyan’s trap?" she asked, deeply worried about him.

"Tianjiao, Father left the Long estate last night to save you. Before the battle, he left his communication devices behind, and we haven't been able to reach him," Long Jianfei sighed, his voice heavy with helplessness.

If only Chu Tian had been able to rescue Long Tianjiao sooner, perhaps Long Sihai wouldn't have gone to meet Wu Xingyan alone. But at that time, Long Tianjiao had just gone missing, and Chu Tian had been searching desperately for her; it would have been impossible for him to rescue her any sooner. It was all a twist of fate. Regardless, the Long family owed Chu Tian a debt of gratitude for saving her, one they would never forget.

"Second Uncle, please, you must find Grandfather and make sure he doesn't walk into a trap," Long Tianjiao urged anxiously.

"I will! But it's dangerous for you to be out on your own. Tell me where you are, and I'll send someone to pick you up immediately." Long Jianfei would certainly notify Long Sihai, but his immediate priority was to protect Long Tianjiao and prevent Wu Xingyan from striking at her again. Although Chu Tian was protecting her, Long Jianfei remained wary of him.

"Second Uncle, there's no need. I'm safe with Chu Tian," Long Tianjiao said, catching the implication in his voice. She trusted Chu Tian implicitly and didn't want any conflict between him and her family.

"Very well. Take care of yourself, and call me if anything happens. Also, I will notify you the moment I find your grandfather," Long Jianfei said, resigning himself to the situation before hanging up.

Though she had reported her safety, Long Tianjiao remained uneasy. Her grandfather had left early and still didn't know she was safe. If Wu Xingyan used this to threaten him, it would be disastrous.

"Fifth Sister, stop worrying so much. Let's get to the arena first," Chu Tian said, his tone softening to comfort her. "If we find Situ Deng, we might be able to force him to reveal Wu Xingyan's location. Then we'll know where your grandfather is."

Long Tianjiao nodded; it was the only option they had. They headed into the bathroom one after another to remove their filthy clothes. After the brutal fight last night, Chu Tian’s clothes were stained with blood, and Long Tianjiao’s had been torn. Fortunately, the guesthouse had some spare items.

After cleaning up, they changed into fresh clothes. Chu Tian put on a white shirt, which remained spotless. Long Tianjiao wore a floral sundress with thin straps; it looked a bit rustic, but it was the only option available.

They left the guesthouse and headed straight for the arena. Twenty minutes later, they arrived at the entrance, only to be blocked. The crowd was massive, and the security guard refused to let them in without an entry ticket.

"I'm sorry, but if you don't have tickets and aren't participants in the North-South Tournament, we cannot allow you to enter," the guard said sternly.

Just as the standoff began, a provocative, arrogant voice rang out from behind them.

"If you don't have tickets, you can come in with me. I have extras, but you'll have to be my dogs." A young man in a tailored suit appeared before them.
