Chapter 107: Long Tianjiao Arrives in a Sports Car to Pick Him Up
Just after leaving the auction hall, Chu Tian saw Wang Jiulong waiting patiently.
“Master, the heads of the noble families you saved earlier have once again asked the Wei family to convey their wishes to you,” Wang Jiulong said respectfully, bowing deeply to Chu Tian.
“Alright, book me a high-speed train ticket. We’re heading to Jinling right now,” Chu Tian replied.
Previously, when he mentioned moving out of Yunhe Villa, it seemed like a joke on the surface, but beneath it lay his true intention. Now that the Swallowing Heaven Demon Art was beyond his control, Chu Tian never knew when he might lose himself to madness again. His very existence posed a potential threat to his seven senior sisters.
It was one thing to have dealt with seven senior sisters, but if he lost control of the demonic power and harmed them, that was absolutely something he could never accept.
Taking advantage of the turmoil between the northern and southern factions, Chu Tian intended to leave Tianmen City, at least for a while.
An hour later, he boarded a high-speed train departing Tianmen City.
He didn’t say goodbye to his senior sisters—perhaps because he didn’t know how to, or maybe because he didn’t want to face the sorrow of parting.
In any case, Chu Tian planned to be alone for a while, to avoid endangering his sisters.
...
Nightfall in Jinling.
The train sped by in a flash, and Chu Tian had already arrived.
He left the station with Wang Jiulong following closely behind, ready to find a place to stay.
But as soon as Chu Tian stepped out, he noticed a sports car parked by the roadside.
A stunningly beautiful woman leaned against the door, her gaze fixed intently on Chu Tian.
Fifth Senior Sister?
Chu Tian’s expression froze—he hadn’t expected to run into her here.
But he had come to Jinling quietly, so how did she know? How had she arrived at the station ahead of him, waiting?
He shook his head with a smile, his surprise turning into resignation.
Since Fifth Senior Sister was waiting, there was no escaping—he had to walk over obediently.
“Get in!” Long Tianjiao waved, already sliding into the car.
“Jiulong, wait here for me,” Chu Tian said with a wry smile. He knew refusal was useless, so he got into the passenger seat.
Countless envious eyes fell on Chu Tian’s back, especially from the men, who gritted their teeth in jealousy.
A gorgeous woman driving a sports car to pick him up—that was simply infuriating!
As soon as Chu Tian got in, Long Tianjiao floored the accelerator.
In an instant, the sports car roared off, racing wildly along the road.
But to Chu Tian, the speed felt as slow as a snail—he felt no fear at all.
“Fifth Sister, how did you know I was coming to Jinling?” Chu Tian asked curiously.
“You asked Wang Jiulong to book the train ticket for you; do you think the Wei family could keep that a secret?” Long Tianjiao answered bluntly. “Qingqiu knew you left Tianmen City and immediately informed our eldest sister.”
Chu Tian was not surprised by this. It made perfect sense. If Fifth Senior Sister knew his whereabouts, then all seven senior sisters must have known.
“Why did you leave Tianmen City?” Long Tianjiao’s voice was calm but unreadable.
“I accepted an invitation to participate in this year’s North-South Contest,” Chu Tian said after a pause, offering an excuse.
He wasn’t lying—he truly was going to take part. Beyond the Jiangnan families, the Han and Wei families, as longstanding powers in Tianmen City, had deep-seated grudges against northern factions.
These disputes couldn’t be settled in business and often spilled over into force. Even if not for his sisters, Chu Tian would have joined the contest this year.
But Long Tianjiao’s question was clearly about something else.
“Xiao Tian, you know that’s not what I’m asking. Why did you disappear without telling the other six senior sisters?”
Her tone grew firmer, carrying a hint of accusation.
Chu Tian gave a bitter smile.
What else could it be? He simply wanted to avoid his sisters for a while.
But he couldn’t tell Fifth Sister that—that would only make her angry.
“Why did you leave Tianmen City without a word?” Long Tianjiao pressed again, her tone unrelenting.
She braked sharply, stopping the car in a small clearing around the bend.
“I just wanted to find a place to calm down. Once the North-South Contest is over, I’ll return to the villa,” Chu Tian said lightly.
He truly had no intention of leaving Tianmen City permanently.
After all, seven breathtakingly beautiful senior sisters lived in the villa—how could he bear to leave them?
He was only using the contest as an excuse to get some space.
“That’s your promise. If you still refuse to come back after the contest, I’ll personally come get you,” Long Tianjiao said, finally easing her anger.
Knowing Chu Tian’s absence was temporary allowed them to relax.
“Fifth Sister, you’ve been away from Tianmen City for over two weeks now. When do you plan to return?” Chu Tian asked, curious, looking at Long Tianjiao’s profile.
She fell silent.
It wasn’t that she didn’t want to return or live with her sisters and Chu Tian.
But with the contest’s critical phase underway, her position was sensitive.
For safety, she had to obey her grandfather’s orders and stay in Jinling.
Tonight, had she not known Chu Tian left Tianmen City, she wouldn’t have secretly left the Long family to meet him alone.
She hadn’t even told her grandfather before leaving—a very risky move.
“When the North-South Contest is over, I’ll go back with you. You won’t be able to run away then,” Long Tianjiao declared, resolute.
Though her grandfather treated her well, she couldn’t abandon her sisters.
Besides, as captain of the Tianmen City Ancient Martial Arts Bureau’s action squad, she couldn’t stay away from her duties for long.
“Fifth Sister, can you let me go now? Wang Jiulong is still waiting for me at the station,” Chu Tian said, managing to persuade her for the moment.
“Fine, go back,” Long Tianjiao waved dismissively, feigning annoyance.
She understood Chu Tian’s situation, and thanks to her family’s backing, her own strength had grown, nearing the semi-master realm.
Although Chu Tian claimed he could control the demonic power within, the sisters still worried, warning Long Tianjiao not to provoke him.
What was the eldest sister thinking?
What could she do to provoke Chu Tian? Was she worried that she herself might tempt him into losing control?
