Chapter Fifteen: So Big! So Soft!
Suddenly, someone bumped into him, startling Xue Tian’ai. “What the—” he began, but before he could finish, he froze, his eyes suddenly shining as he looked at the person in his arms. “Damn, she’s quite a beauty,” he thought to himself.
In his embrace was a woman of remarkable beauty. A cascade of lustrous black hair tumbled down like a waterfall, her delicate brows arched gracefully, and her clear, luminous eyes were now veiled with a misty glaze, making her gaze intoxicating and hauntingly alluring. Her exquisite oval face was as flawless as jade, tinged with a blush that bloomed as delicately as cherry blossoms—ethereal and radiant. In the dim night, her rosy cheeks seemed to possess an indescribable, peculiar charm.
“Miss, may I ask if you’re all right?” Xue Tian’ai was entirely captivated by her beauty, though he forced himself to put on a gentlemanly air. His hands, however, betrayed his pretense—his right arm tightened around her slender waist.
Feeling the warmth of his hand at her waist, the woman trembled slightly, as if trying to break free, but soon fell limp, yielding without resistance.
Sensing her change in demeanor, Xue Tian’ai was secretly delighted. He suddenly recalled the strange old man he’d met earlier, who had predicted an encounter with romance tonight.
“Could this be my lucky chance?” He was elated—after all, a beauty delivered to his arms was certainly a windfall.
Should he book a room with her now, or play the role of the virtuous gentleman? After all, he had planned to visit his fiancée tonight. As stunning as this woman was, she was still just a shade less than Qin Mengxue.
An inner battle raged in his mind, torn between desire and duty.
While he was lost in thought, three punks with garishly dyed hair burst out of the bar. Their eyes scanned the street, and upon spotting the woman in Xue Tian’ai’s arms, their faces lit up with undisguised lust. Without hesitation, they strode toward him.
From the moment she had entered the bar, these three ruffians had been plotting their mischief. Yet, the woman was shrewd; sensing danger, she’d slipped outside.
“Sweetheart, you’re in the wrong place—the restroom’s inside, not out here. Didn’t I warn you not to drink so much? Come, be good, let’s go back in,” one of them, his hair dyed an unnatural green, purred softly.
At the sound of his voice, the woman in Xue Tian’ai’s arms shuddered, and with a hint of fear, whispered, “Help me.”
Hearing this, Xue Tian’ai instantly grasped the situation. So that was it—these guys had been waiting for the woman to get drunk so they could take advantage of her.
So this is what they call “picking up corpses” in bars? He’d thought such depravity existed only in the more liberal countries abroad, yet after ten years away, even China had caught up. Time truly waits for no one.
Still, he couldn’t help but feel exasperated with the woman in his arms. What was a lady like her doing alone in a bar, drinking so heavily, and so beautiful on top of it? She was practically a walking target for predators like these.
The green-haired punk, seeing Xue Tian’ai standing there, merely holding the woman without reacting, felt a surge of jealousy. That woman was their chosen prey for the night—how could she just lie in another man’s arms? He reached out, intent on dragging her away.
“Smack!” As the punk reached out, Xue Tian’ai raised his hand and struck him sharply. “You green-haired idiot, what do you think you’re doing, touching my girlfriend?”
The three punks were taken aback. Could this be her real boyfriend? They scrutinized Xue Tian’ai anew—his clothes were plain, just a white shirt and khaki sweatpants.
Yet at six foot one, with fair skin, sculpted features, and a mischievous glint in his handsome eyes, he was clearly a striking man. He and the beauty in his arms looked like a perfect match—a feast for the eyes.
“My dear, just because I came back late, you shouldn’t have drowned yourself in so much liquor,” Xue Tian’ai said, tightening his hold on her waist with a tone of feigned concern. “If I hadn’t waited for you at the door, what would you have done?”
The three punks paused, puzzled. Waited at the door? What nonsense! Was this guy just another predator like themselves?
They exchanged glances. At last, the yellow-haired one spoke up, “Hey, man, is it really okay to steal someone else’s catch?”
They’d spent all evening plying the woman with drinks, only for her to remain wary. And now this interloper had swooped in and stolen their prize! If he were her real boyfriend, maybe they’d back off, but if he was just another scavenger, there was no reason to be polite. There were three of them, after all. In their eyes, Xue Tian’ai was just a reckless fool.
Xue Tian’ai didn’t bother to guess at their thoughts. He wrapped his arm tighter around the woman’s waist and prepared to leave, not sparing the trio another glance.
Irritated by his indifference, the three punks hurried in front of him, blocking his way.
“Bro, we’re all in the same business. You know the rules—first come, first served. If you want to hunt for fun, pick someone else. Leave this one to us, so things don’t get awkward next time we meet,” one threatened.
Who the hell is in business with you? I don’t need to pick up drunk women! Back in England, even a royal princess once offered me a hundred million pounds for a night! What a joke!
Xue Tian’ai could only curse inwardly.
“I told you, she’s my girlfriend. It’s you who should move aside. Still thinking of making a move on my woman? Have you taken a good look at yourselves?” Xue Tian’ai sneered, mocking their appearance.
At his taunt, the three punks’ faces hardened, eyes wide with fury. Their looks were their greatest weakness, and with a man as handsome as Xue Tian’ai before them, their jealousy boiled over.
“We’re with Boss Fu,” one growled. “I’d think twice if I were you. Hand over the woman, and keep yourself out of trouble, or else—”
“Or else what?” Xue Tian’ai cut him off impatiently. “I don’t care if it’s Boss Fu, Boss Niu, or Boss Chicken—you’re not taking her. I’m leaving with my girlfriend.”
“Kid, you must have a death wish!” With a snarl, the green-haired punk suddenly produced a small knife, lunging at Xue Tian’ai.
Seeing the amateurish attack, Xue Tian’ai scoffed. This was laughable. With his free left hand, he reached out, seized the punk’s wrist, and squeezed.
A sharp crack rang out, and the punk’s wrist twisted grotesquely as the knife clattered to the ground.
The green-haired punk howled in agony from his broken wrist, but Xue Tian’ai wasn’t finished. He balled his fist and drove it into the punk’s chest—another crack, and the punk flew back, collapsing in a heap.
The remaining two hesitated, faces grim. They exchanged a silent nod and charged at Xue Tian’ai together.
Yet Xue Tian’ai remained relaxed. With his right hand cradling the woman’s neck, he bent his waist and scooped her up beneath the knees—lifting her effortlessly into a princess carry.
The woman, dizzy and startled, instinctively wrapped her arms around his neck, her upper body pressed tightly against his chest.
Xue Tian’ai glanced down, suddenly aware of the warmth against his chest—two unbelievably soft and ample sensations. His mind flashed with two words: big and soft. Heat surged through him, and his body reacted involuntarily.
Though the moment was blissful, he had no time to savor it. The other two punks were still charging.
Even with his hands occupied, he still had his legs. With a sudden snap, his right leg shot out twice, swift as lightning.
Bang! Bang! Two muffled thuds. The punks barely saw a blur before they were sent flying, crashing heavily to the ground.
It was a total rout—less a fight than a player at max level swatting away novice village NPCs.
Many patrons had gathered, hoping for a show, but the commotion ended so quickly that they dispersed with disappointed sighs. Only a few tipsy girls lingered, their eyes shining as they gazed at Xue Tian’ai’s handsome face.
“That’s it?” Xue Tian’ai arched an eyebrow, unimpressed. “You dare threaten me with that level of skill? Like a mantis trying to stop a chariot. Try laying a hand on my girlfriend again and I’ll end you.”
The three punks were so terrified they stayed sprawled on the ground, pretending to be unconscious. They felt like rabbits before a tiger, utterly powerless. Not only had they wasted money on drinks, but now they would go home empty-handed.
Xue Tian’ai ignored the defeated trio, as well as the admiring glances from the drunken girls. Without further ado, he carried the woman away from the bar.
After walking a short distance, he gently patted her back and asked, “Are you all right, miss?”
The woman shifted in his arms, raising her head to look at him. Her face, previously tinged with a delicate blush, was now flushed scarlet, as if set ablaze. Her eyes grew even more unfocused.
“I’m so hot… so thirsty… water…” she murmured, her mind clearly clouded. Her arms flailed, grasping at her own body.
Xue Tian’ai was stunned. What was happening?
This woman—could it be she’d been drugged?
