Chapter 11: The Gear of Fate—Secured!

On the very night of her decision, Yu Xunge employed her disguise skill to enter the villa district. She did not return to her own villa—too many strange skills made her wary of leaving any trace back to her lair from the moment she set out.

Before her disguise wore off, she slipped into the thicket within the villa area and leaned against a tree, sleeping until two in the morning. When she woke and saw that it was only the 27th, she paused for a moment, feeling as though a long time had passed, yet barely a week had gone by.

After drinking a cup of iced coffee, Yu Xunge donned a mask and then covered her hair completely with a swim cap, ensuring not a single strand would fall loose. Finally, she put on gloves before swallowing an invisibility potion. With that, she set off toward the Liang family estate, ten kilometers away, using this opportunity to train her body in the gaps of time.

She had tried taking the invisibility potion while riding in a car to see if the vehicle would become invisible as well, but perhaps the potion’s energy was limited and could not extend to envelop a large object. She even attempted it with an electric bike and a bicycle, both failures. A skateboard, however, worked—but that was hardly any different from a bell.

A basic healing potion appeared in his hand, which Yu Xunge deftly lifted with the knife’s tip.

Soon, the figure on the bed opened his eyes wide one last time and fell silent.

She searched the body and found a small four-slot pouch, a plain and worn cloth bag typical of two- or four-slot pouches. Inside were just two pitiful potions and a small money pouch holding two silver coins.

Yu Xunge used the skill “Death Mimicry”: designate a target who died by your hand and imitate their divine talent. Only one target can be designated at a time; switching targets causes the previous mimicry to vanish.

Soon, she felt a new divine skill added to her repertoire: “Fate Gear” (B-level).

While waiting for the cooldown, she used her Soros mask to alter her character panel information, replacing her divine talent with “Fate Gear” (B-level).

After finishing, she removed the blood-stained gloves, cleansed her hands with alcohol sanitizer, changed into fresh gloves, and drank invisibility potion again before heading into the main building.

Using the same method, she found Liang Yuchuan’s room and crawled under the little princess’s bed, moving with practiced care that evoked sympathy.

It was only four in the morning. Even young nobles were still young—she doubted Liang Yuchuan would rise before seven. She expected to steal for about three hours.

First, she used “Fate Gear”’s “Feeling Lucky Again” to reduce Liang Yuchuan’s luck to 1, then began the cycle of “I Want This, This, and This”—eating meat and drinking potions to restore health—repeating the process.

The Fate Gear was truly disgusting!

No wonder it had tormented her for so long.

With luck set to 1, within just an hour, Yu Xunge had stolen two items, a money pouch, and three attribute points.

The items were:

- Soros Set: Glasses (2/3) (A-level): Wearing these allows the user to scan a target's character panel data (specific divine talent details cannot be scanned). For each additional Soros set item collected, scanning capability increases. Currently, it can detect the names and quantities of the target’s equipment.

These were the gold-rimmed glasses that Liang Yuchuan often wore in her past life—surprisingly, they were a detection tool.

Over time, she had stolen eight attribute points from Liang Yuchuan, nearly equivalent to leveling up twice.
