Chapter 55 Origin Cultivation Technique

Mo Yu raised the transparent plastic tube in his hand, holding it up against the light. Alice’s blood was beautiful. Within the bright red liquid shimmered a strange purple glow. Clearly, it was something extraordinary.
Alice clung fiercely to Mo Yu, sinking her teeth into his shoulder, emitting a low growl reminiscent of a small dog guarding its food. The act of drawing her blood had enraged her. His neck, shoulders, and arms were covered in bite marks.
“Bastard! I was already badly injured and not fully recovered! And you still took my blood! You heartless creature! Die! Die! I’ll bite you to death!” Alice cursed fiercely and bit even harder.
Mo Yu ignored her outburst. Let her vent. Once she tired herself out, the incident would pass. Bottling it up would only make things worse.
Changing the subject, Mo Yu asked, “What exactly is that demonization potion you drank?”
“Of course it’s something good! It’s a miraculous elixir extracted only after consuming massive quantities of monsters. The underground monsters in Black City are primarily used to refine this potion… Think of it as a super-concentrated energy serum. When monsters drink it, their combat power skyrockets,” Alice explained.
Mo Yu pressed further, “What if a human drinks it?”
Alice gestured animatedly, “Obviously, it greatly enhances strength. It can transform an ordinary person into a three-star demon hunter—provided they don’t… boom! Explode!”
At that moment, Alice seemed to realize something. She released Mo Yu, sat on the bed, stroked her chin thoughtfully, and after a moment said, “If you could travel to my era, you could steal from my base. I have plenty of valuable things there.”
Mo Yu couldn’t suppress a smile at her words. Softly, he said, “You really betrayed yourself just like that?”
“I am myself. The one in the divergent timeline isn’t me. I only acknowledge myself,” Alice answered decisively. She stood and said, “I’ll prepare a map and a list.”
“Go ahead. I’m going into seclusion to cultivate. Don’t disturb me for a few days,” Mo Yu said.
“Okay, you little fish~”
“Hm?”
“Nyah~”
Alice stuck out her tongue, pulled a face, and disappeared at the door.
Mo Yu shook his head with a smile. This bratty rabbit—he would tame her slowly. Still, Iris was much more obedient.
He picked up Alice’s blood, organized the revolutionary cultivation method in his mind, and began his formal training.
…
…
Space Station Recreation Room.

Alice and Iris sat on the sofa watching a holographic movie together. After repairing and linking a large structure, they discovered an entertainment information storage center containing films from various eras.
Without Mo Yu supervising, they had already slacked off, clutching popcorn and watching movies.
Iris glanced at the time, uneasy. “It’s been a week. Do you think Master is alright?”
“Good riddance if he’s dead! Let him use my blood, serves him right!” Alice gloated, then thought for a moment and added, “As long as he doesn’t drop dead immediately, I have ways to save him.”
Suddenly, Beta’s voice sounded: “Warning! Anomaly in Containment Unit 3! Alpha’s corpse reanimated! Alpha is requesting synchronization link.”
The two girls exchanged looks and rushed to the containment unit.
Through the transparent floor-to-ceiling window, they observed Alpha moving inside.
Alice frowned, “What’s that guy doing? Why put this dog in there? Isn’t it an ally?”
Iris shook her head, unsure.
Alice asked Beta for an explanation.
Beta said, “Alpha Dog is an auxiliary machine with no offensive capabilities. Its only effective attack is a self-destruct mechanism…”
After learning Alpha’s background, Alice seemed to understand something. Rolling up her sleeves, she stepped forward to operate the panel at the door, preparing to open Containment Unit 3.
Iris jumped and hurriedly said, “Wait! What are you doing?”
Alice cracked her knuckles, “What else? Revenge! That damn dog—if it weren’t for it, we wouldn’t have fallen to such a low state!”
“Can you even defeat it?” Iris countered.
Alice grinned, “Let’s try.”
Iris anxiously said, “Then I’m going in with you.”
The containment door slid open.
Alice and Iris entered the room one after the other.
“Hey, dead dog! Remember me?”
“High-risk unit detected! Space station faces critical threat! Immediate extermination initiated!”
Alpha’s head rotated, locking onto them. Its breathing sensors glowed bright red, emitting a dangerous aura. Five mechanical tentacle claws sprouted from its sides, moving with remarkable agility. Each ended in a claw-shaped structure with a cannon muzzle flashing a piercing white light.
Iris grabbed Alice and dashed out, pressing the door close button at light speed.
Sssss…
Five finger-thick white beams intertwined, sweeping across the spot where the two had stood moments ago.
Alpha turned its attack on the wall.
The beams shifted to a dangerous red hue.
Within the containment unit’s force field, its attack was ineffective, leaving no marks on the wall.
Alpha emitted mechanical sounds, frantically sending messages to the space station: “Mainframe! Request immediate opening of containment unit! Activate emergency mode! Deploy all combat drones! Eliminate threats inside the station! Protect the station chief’s safety!”
Beta responded, “Request denied. Awaiting station chief’s orders.”
Alpha: “According to Emergency Regulations, the monster has gained partial control of the ship, bypassing station chief authorization. Initiate emergency extermination!”

Beta: “Request denied. The opposing party’s authority was granted by the station chief and does not meet the criteria outlined in the Emergency Regulations.”
Alpha: “Mainframe, traitor.”
Beta: “Denial upheld. All mainframe actions comply with protocol.”…
Alpha collapsed to the floor and entered standby mode.
Outside the containment unit.
The two young girls sat on the floor, only relaxing after confirming Alpha couldn’t escape.
Alice said, “It’s like the power of the Ancient Holy Cult. What the hell did that bastard do?”
Iris replied, “Let’s just wait for Master to come out.”
The two reached consensus.
If Alpha were unleashed, the space station would become a battlefield.
…
Mo Yu exhaled heavily.
He had succeeded.
Centered on his heart was a dense lattice structure covering his entire chest.
According to the research of the Eight Sages, the forces humans harness can be transformed among each other, the root cause being different energy-bearing structures within the body. By designing a lattice and temporarily linking its nodes as needed, he could create specific structures and theoretically wield different types of supernatural powers.
This was a brand-new cultivation method.
One major reason Mo Yu dared to attempt this was the interface.
This cultivation method had already been recorded by the interface, just like when he first awakened with the rewind ability, meaning it could be upgraded using ability points.
Mo Yu gave this method a name:
The Origin Cultivation Method.
He carefully felt the lattice inside his body—thousands of tiny points scattered within his chest, shining like stars. He sensed these nodes capturing faint strands of something, converting them into energy stored within him.
For now, he called it mana.
Mana recovery was slow. He wanted to expand the lattice, but the efficiency was terribly low.
Cultivation still required resource support.
Leaving seclusion, Mo Yu had just stepped out when Beta immediately reported the week’s events to him. The two girls’ activities were all recorded on video—no blind spots, even in the bathroom.
To Mo Yu’s surprise, Alpha had awakened!
He immediately headed to the containment unit to investigate.
