The old man moved swiftly, completely beyond Mo Yu’s perception. Before Mo Yu could see clearly, a long blade pressed against his throat.
It was a cane sword.
Earlier, it had been resting inconspicuously by the table.
Mo Yu showed no fear and continued defiantly, “Come on, kill me. If I get hurt, I guarantee that woman will be torn apart piece by piece.”
The old man took out his phone and dialed, but there was no answer on the other end. He asked coldly, “Where is the young lady?”
Mo Yu replied, “This is no place for negotiations. Our boss wants to see you.”
The old man sneered, “Don’t try to fool me. The young lady is still in the cable car.”
“Oh? Then take another look,” Mo Yu answered with a grin. “The implant behind her ear is easy to find.”
Seeing the old man’s reckless confidence, Mo Yu rewound the scene in his mind and peeked from behind. He noticed the old man’s phone displayed a map with a red dot pinpointing a location. He immediately realized Mary had a tracking device on her.
Rewinding the scene again.
After multiple checks inside the cable car, Mo Yu extracted a small chip from behind Mary’s ear and destroyed it. Then he went back to negotiate with the old man, picking up his line.
The red dot disappeared.
The old man’s phone began to emit warnings.
His face darkened.
The shopkeeper noticed something unusual and approached.
Mo Yu raised the stakes, “The cross can’t protect her. We have been planning this for a long time.”
The old man hesitated but then put away his cane sword and warned, “Don’t harm her, or Liè Yuè will make you pay a heavy price!”
“Don’t worry, she won’t die. Let’s go meet our boss.”
Mo Yu stood up and explained to the approaching owner that it was just a staged video shoot, so it didn’t raise any suspicion. They left smoothly, boarded a sightseeing car that had been prepared in advance, and drove out of the amusement park.
Once outside, they hailed a rental car and continued moving farther and farther away, until the old man lost patience, drew his long blade again, pressed it against Mo Yu’s neck, and demanded,
“Where exactly are you going?”
“This is it.”
Mo Yu smiled and vanished on the spot, leaving only the old man’s shocked face behind.
This was his mirror image.
A ruse to lure the tiger away from the mountain.
At the Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea attraction.
Mo Yu leaned against the wall.
At this moment, he wore sunglasses, a mask, and a baseball cap, tossing a coin in his hand. His gaze was fixed on the distant clock tower, watching the second hand tick steadily.
After the second hand completed a full circle, he caught the coin and tossed it to the side and back.
The coin rolled along two circular paths before stopping. The door marked “Staff Only” opened, and a staff member came out. Noticing the coin on the ground, he bent down and picked it up.
Taking advantage of the moment, Mo Yu slipped inside.
After picking up the coin, the staff member turned and locked the door.

Mo Yu moved down the corridor, quickly locating the power distribution room by the door number. He forcefully broke in.
Calculating the timing, he pulled the main switch and then kicked hard. With the terrifying strength of his 5.3 constitution, the metal electric box instantly deformed, sparks flying everywhere.
The entire area was plunged into darkness.
Leaving the power room, Mo Yu entered a nearby maintenance corridor for staff, moving through the tunnel until he kicked open a locked door and found the cable car Mary had ridden.
His mirror image had already removed the cross, destroyed the tracker, and rendered Mary unconscious.
Mo Yu opened the cable car door, stuffed the cross into his pocket, used tape to stop Mary’s bleeding, then placed her inside a sack and left through the staff passage.
Just as he stepped out, he encountered a staff member.
Relying on his extraordinary strength, Mo Yu lifted the sack with one hand effortlessly, so no one suspected it contained a living person.
Using the sightseeing car as a diversion, he also found a locker and stored the cross in a small box, noting the retrieval number so he could come back for it anytime.
He took Mary to the Volcano Castle.
This was a vast themed area centered around a large volcanic castle with several floors—quite spectacular.
Mo Yu drove the sightseeing car around twice, locating a downward tunnel, and descended underground. This area was mainly for staff activities. In an inconspicuous corner on the wall, he spotted the “X” mark the maid had mentioned.
He got out to investigate.
It was a simulated volcanic rock wall, with no visible entrance.
Mo Yu tapped it and found it hollow behind. Then he forcefully broke the door open, and a man wearing sunglasses poked his head out, cursing, “What are you doing? Go away, don’t loiter here!”
Blood-red letters appeared.
This man was a vampire.
A subordinate of Iris.
After confirming the location, Mo Yu rewound the scene again, skipping the search time from the entrance to here.
He removed his sunglasses and mask, pointed at himself, and said, “Look carefully, it’s me.”
“Who are you? Don’t know you.”
“I’m the human who fell into the pool the day before yesterday. According to No. 1’s orders, I’ve brought the person.”
Mo Yu pointed to the sack in the back seat of the sightseeing car.
The vampire sized Mo Yu up and down, then left a “Wait here” before closing the door. Moments later, the door opened again, and a bald man appeared—the knight-level vampire seen yesterday.
The bald man scrutinized Mo Yu and frowned, “You… are the food?”
“What else? I caught the person. See for yourself.”
Mo Yu rolled his eyes and pointed to the sack.
The bald man stepped forward to check and, upon seeing Mary inside, grew excited. He shouted to his subordinates, “Quick, open the door!” nervously looking around.
The wall opened.
Behind it was a small garage.
They drove the sightseeing car inside.

Throughout this, the bald man remained on high alert, and the other vampires were tense as well.
Mo Yu asked, “What are you so nervous about?”
The bald man answered, “This woman should be protected by someone. How did you manage to knock her out and put her in a sack?”
Mo Yu replied, “I used the Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea tunnel. I was afraid someone would notice, so I took the staff passage.”
“Well done, human.” The bald man praised him and then called out, “Quick, gather everyone and start the operation.”
One vampire asked, “Lord No. 12, it’s still daytime. Should we wait until sunset?”
“Staying here is dangerous. If Liè Yuè’s people notice something’s wrong, they’ll call for help.” The bald man answered, carrying the sack as the others followed.
Mo Yu also trailed behind.
Behind the garage was the staff activity area, already occupied by vampires.
Two more knight-level vampires appeared, a man and a woman, identified by other vampires as No. 7 and No. 9.
They were all excited, inspecting Mary and chatting noisily.
“Did they really catch the person?”
“We prepared for so long, and it was all wasted.”
“Stop arguing, this is a good thing! We don’t even have to act ourselves. The next step is the real focus.”
“The sun hasn’t set yet... Let’s move. We can’t wait. Notify the young lady...”
Mo Yu listened quietly.
From scraps of conversation, he roughly understood Iris’s plan.
They intended to lure the target here after sunset, using the haunted house as cover to forcibly abduct her. As for what would happen afterward, these vampires didn’t reveal, only mentioning that other knight-level vampires would provide support. This was a long-prepared scheme.
What these vampires didn’t expect was that Mo Yu had already abducted Mary at around 1 p.m.
Outside, the sun shone brightly, unfavorable for vampires, but they still decided to relocate.
The group descended stairs to a lower underground parking lot reserved for staff, with passageways leading directly out of the amusement park.
Three vans were parked there.
Within minutes, over twenty elite-level vampires gathered.
No. 12 stuffed Mary into one van, with two elite vampires flanking her on either side, holding the unconscious woman between them.
Other vampires began boarding the vehicles.
Mo Yu spoke up, “I’m coming too.”
No. 12 finally remembered Mo Yu and warned, “Human, you don’t need to be involved anymore. Leave quickly. When this is over, the young lady will reward you.”
Mo Yu didn’t argue; silently noting the license plate number, he left.
He had an immature idea about how to connect with the demon hunters.
