The Intelligence Is Fake
The so-called [Three-Month] experiment refers to the endeavor conducted by the Green Moon dependent before us, Qi Lin, in the depths of the Amazon rainforest, in a place where no one could ever find her.
As the mastermind behind the experiment, Qi Lin, in collusion with four other Green Moon dependents, continuously hunted down transcendent beings whose blood origin was at the Star-Convergence stage, ruthlessly stripping away their blood origin to force their ultimate transformation into abominations.
Over the course of three months, the victims reached a total of thirty-five, with a new person sacrificed every three days on average. Even more terrifyingly, no one except Qi Lin knew where those forcibly transformed abominations had gone...
Such heinous acts even managed to provoke the Blue King. All of Qi Lin's accomplices perished, and Qi Lin herself was killed a full fifty times, her rank plunging from Soul-Pact all the way down to Star-Convergence, and she had yet to fully recover from it.
Of course, Qi Lin ultimately escaped, and the laboratory was destroyed. The true purpose and process of this ultimate experiment remained shrouded in mystery.
Now, Qi Lin was going to volunteer this information to them?
Chu Aoqing waved her hand, signaling Ji Yue to quickly open her laptop and start recording, and then looked at Qi Lin with a puzzled expression.
"Back then, even when the Blue King hacked you to pieces fifty times, you stubbornly kept your mouth shut. Why are you suddenly willing to tell us now?"
Her guard went up. "This isn't some mental-hazard sanity-draining garbage that takes effect the moment it's spoken out loud, is it?"
"Heh..." Qi Lin let out a light laugh, blood continuously welling up from her palms and dripping onto the base of the crucifix. "If there were truly such a convenient thing, would I have been captured by you so easily?"
"It's simply that, since I am soon to become the Red King's collection, my knowledge, my records, and my experiments cannot be allowed to stagnate here."
Qi Lin looked toward Miseria. "As an alchemist of the Clock Tower's astral studies, you should understand my feelings, right?"
"No matter what, knowledge should never be sealed away."
Miseria nodded expressionlessly. "Put that way, I suppose I can understand."
"Then go ahead and speak!"
Chu Aoqing also wanted to hear what kind of abomination that ultimate experiment truly was. Besides, it would take some time to transport Qi Lin to the Red King anyway, so she might as well treat it as an interrogation.
"Let me see what this 'knowledge' of yours really is."
"Well then, I shall begin."
Qi Lin started recounting: "Humanity truly is a miraculous species."
"Despite possessing a power as mighty as the blood origin, they can actually be counter-devoured by it and mutate into even more powerful abominations."
"However, abominations possess no intellect; their minds are engulfed in chaos. In that regard, abominations are failures."
"Rare exceptions do occur, but those are miracles among miracles and hold no discussion value."
"Therefore..." For some reason, Qi Lin suddenly gasped. "Ah... I wished to attempt the creation of an abomination with intellect."
"For humanity, this would undoubtedly be a breakthrough of existential significance."
"Hey~ Don't you think my purpose is utterly magnificent?"
Qi Lin wore an expression of sheer delight and gratification. "I am striving for the sake of all humanity, you see."
Everyone present, save for Miseria, felt goosebumps crawl all over their skin upon seeing Qi Lin like this.
They wanted to refute her, yet the words failed them.
After all, one can never win an argument against a madman.
Qi Lin paid no mind to their gazes and simply continued, "However, humans have their limits."
"What I learned in my brief experiments is that the more intricately I plotted, the more likely I was to fail due to some minuscule reason..."
"I tried numerous methods, but without exception, none reached the outcome I desired. All thirty-five specimens failed..."
At this point, tears slowly welled up in Qi Lin's eyes, mingling with her blood. "How heartbroken I am. They were such brilliant children..."
Chu Aoqing wore an expression of utter disgust.
It was like a weasel weeping over a dead chicken.
After crying for about three seconds, Qi Lin returned to normal. "However, a miracle did happen."
Her expression gradually grew uncanny. "The experiment to restore intellect to the abominations failed, but I discovered another possibility."
"It is a miracle of equal grandeur—a miracle so profound that even the Blue King chose to cooperate with me, bestowing upon me a generous fifty doses of tender affection."
"Reshaping my body entirely into the mold of the Blue King's [Stagnation]..."
Chu Aoqing: "?"
She grew instantly vigilant. "Didn't the Blue King actively step in to halt your atrocities? What do you mean by cooperation...?"
"And what on earth is this 'possibility' you speak of?!"
Chu Aoqing had already clenched her empty hands, ready to slam down a devastating blow the moment anything went amiss, but...
A cyan radiance flared.
It was the power of the Blue King's [Stagnation].
The saint's crucifix trembled.
Though it still bound Qi Lin, it had already become completely meaningless.
Because Qi Lin was dead.
That was a curse planted deep within her heart long ago, a remote execution curse cast by an assassin from the [Black Dove] syndicate.
Qi Lin's voice echoed through the instant of stagnation.
"Don't assume I only hired a single assassin, you know."
The human skin split open amidst violent distortion, revealing the crimson flesh beneath. Then, this mass of flesh swelled and writhed continuously, the tangled blood vessels outlining a smiling visage.
This was Qi Lin's abomination.
"This is my new project: the Blood Origin Detachment Plan."
"Even when transformed into an abomination and going berserk, the original body can still survive, and may even awaken a new blood origin."
"However, the experiment is still in its preliminary stage. Only a breeding dependent of my caliber can pull it off, and it still requires refinement."
"The Blue King's stagnation remained within my body, sealing away the fact that I had already transformed into an abomination, which prevented me from unleashing my full strength."
"That is the truth behind my fall from Soul-Pact to Star-Convergence."
Qi Lin's face gradually dissolved into the swirling flesh. "Please keep my mischievous child company for a little while."
"I am going to have..."
"...a sweet date with someone~"
Qi Lin perished completely.
The abomination went completely berserk.
The saint's crucifix was still restraining Qi Lin's abomination, but to that grotesquely bloated and twisted mass of flesh, it was as impotent as a novelty collar.
It was a completely useless restraint.
"Step away!"
As the Blue King's stagnation ended, Chu Aoqing let out a cry of anguish. "The intelligence was false!"
"Goddamn that bastard of a Blue King, what a treacherous piece of trash!"
"Quickly tell those two siblings to run, as soon as we break out..."
Right now, Qi Lin's abomination resembled a flesh dome that enveloped the entire Administration Bureau, countless tentacles thrashing within, clashing fiercely with everyone inside.
Shen Qiqi's mind went blank. "Why is it tentacles again?!"
"It's over!" Ji Yue raised her head in panic. "There's no signal, Sister Chu!"
"The message won't go through!"
"What?"
"Because right now, we are inside this 'child's' belly."
Miseria's mouth twitched. "The signal is completely blocked. She is an absolute genius!"
"How on earth did she pull it off? Detaching the abomination from the main body while still birthing a new blood origin?"
"This has ventured far beyond my knowledge base. She is issuing an academic challenge directly to me."
Miseria's expression gradually turned ecstatic. "Splendid. I accept your challenge."
"It's about time I showed you my true capabilities."
Chu Aoqing's eyes flicked over in a panic. "Wait, Miss Miseria, what kind of capabilities are you about to pull out?!"
"Heh, naturally..."
Miseria raised her head and burst into wild, maniacal laughter. "The ability to summon the moon!"
"Come! By the operation of the astral bodies and the laws of the universe, ignite the infinite One from the primal Zero! Oh stars, heed my call—"
Miseria was halfway through her incantation when she suddenly froze. Her expression shifted from excitement to utter blankness, and finally, blazed with a fiery intensity.
Her alchemical apparatus shattered in an instant, the scattered fragments raining down onto the floor, flashing with multicolored light.
Green, red, purple, blue, and...
A dazzling, peerless golden yellow.
