[Heart-Piercing Arrow — Rare]: Fires an immensely powerful arrow that deals 500% true damage to the target. Cooldown: 12 hours.
“True damage” referred to damage that ignored armor and magic resistance.
Anne had remained in an [Immune] state the entire time, but [Immune] could only negate physical and magical damage. It was powerless against true damage.
Thus, after being struck by [Heart-Piercing Arrow], Anne suffered a serious wound and spat out a mouthful of blood.

Seeing Anne injured, the [Starforged Dragon King] instantly flew into a rage. Vast streams of blue energy poured from its nostrils, and its dragon face twisted into a savage expression.
Six hours earlier, Su Yu had merely destroyed one of Anne’s toys without actually hurting her, yet the [Starforged Dragon King] had traveled thousands of miles to kill him.
But now Anne had been injured! How could it possibly tolerate that?
The old dragon’s eyes turned blood-red.
It cast [Starlight Healing] on Anne, then turned and unleashed a breath attack. The breath transformed into pure astral fire and crashed toward the players in the square.
The attack covered an enormous area—at least three-quarters of the square!

After dodging the Dragon King’s attack, Su Yu immediately ran toward the edge of the square at full speed.
His running speed reached twelve meters per second, making him as swift as a gust of wind.
Although the square was packed with players, Su Yu still reached its edge in a little over ten seconds.
At that moment, the [Starforged Dragon King’s] breath descended.
The instant Su Yu saw it, he hurriedly cast the [Blink] spell, which had just finished its cooldown.
Whoosh!
A flash of white light passed by. Su Yu teleported another twenty meters forward and escaped the square at the very last second, rushing into a nearby alley.
Boom!
The breath struck the ground, and an earth-shaking roar echoed behind Su Yu.
The sound was so deafening that Su Yu nearly lost his hearing in an instant.

This could not possibly be a boss that players at their current stage were capable of defeating, could it?
One idiot player even dropped to one knee in the direction the [Starforged Dragon King] had flown and said reverently, “The three-year term has come to an end. We respectfully send off the Dragon King!”
His words drew a wave of sidelong glances.

Su Yu leaned against the wall of the alley and caught his breath.
That had been far too dangerous! If he had been one second slower, he would have been killed instantly like the players in the square.
Fortunately, he had run fast enough.
He opened the communication interface and glanced at his friends list.
The names of Heaven-Cleaving Sword and Red-Eyes Black Dragon had both turned gray, indicating that they were offline. Clearly, the two of them had perished in the dragon’s breath.
Snowfall’s name was still lit up. It was impossible to tell whether she had survived in the square or had never come at all.
Su Yu did not contact Snowfall, however.
He found an unoccupied corner, changed into a complete set of mage equipment, and returned to the edge of the square.
By then, the entire square was covered by a “carpet” of blue starlight. It had been created by the remnants of the [Starforged Dragon King’s] breath clinging to the ground.
The lingering dragon breath continued to emit a brilliant azure glow. It was remarkably beautiful!
But anyone who stepped onto it now would certainly be killed instantly by the damage from the residual substance.
Su Yu was in no hurry. He stood at the edge of the square and waited patiently.
After all, he still needed to find the village chief to trigger the main storyline, and he had no idea whether the old man was alive or dead.

While waiting, Su Yu used the game’s built-in program to open the official forums.
As expected, the forums had already exploded.
More than a thousand “victims” were frantically discussing everything related to the Starforged Dragon King.
The hottest thread was a video post titled:

In the video, the [Starforged Dragon King] appeared and annihilated every player with a single breath. Countless players who had never witnessed the scene before exclaimed in amazement:

“Can we at least look in a mirror first?”
