Kill these two gods?

Ling Xiao looked at the two God Kings before him with the same gaze one might use to look at two dead objects. This look only served to fuel the God Kings' fury.

"You two pieces of trash, you shouldn't have provoked me, but since you hurt them, you must die!" Ling Xiao said, a hint of a smile appearing on his face, though his eyes remained icy.

"What did you say!" the God of Evil roared, causing the space to tremble and devastating the area for hundreds of meters around the Star Dou Lake. However, the two soul beasts behind Ling Xiao remained completely unaffected.

The God of Evil wore a savage expression as he raised a palm to suppress Ling Xiao. In his mind, no matter how strong Ling Xiao was, he could not possibly surpass a God King. He intended to capture Ling Xiao, torture him until he begged for death, and make him realize the price of offending him.

Ling Xiao, however, did not take him seriously at all; such force was far too weak. A black chain manifested, effortlessly blocking the God of Evil's palm strike and preventing it from advancing even a fraction.

The God of Evil and the Goddess of Goodness froze. They had never imagined that this person could block a God King’s attack. Although they hadn't used their full strength, the attack of a God King was usually beyond the reach of even ordinary deities.

"Good lad, it seems you do have some strength. No wonder you were able to kill the Dark Demon Evil God Tiger and dare to provoke me. But there is a gap even among gods; the power of a God King is beyond your imagination!"

Seeing this, the God of Evil finally believed that Ling Xiao had indeed killed the soul beast he had created. He withdrew his hand, clenched his fist, and unleashed even greater power against Ling Xiao. Yet, the madness on his face quickly solidified, for the same chain blocked his attack once more, without so much as a tremor.

The Goddess of Goodness grew grim and joined the God of Evil. Together, they struck the black chain with their fists. To their shock, the chain remained unmoved. They were God Kings, after all; their combined strength was well over several million catties. Looking at the calm Ling Xiao, they realized they had underestimated him—perhaps his true strength even surpassed their own.

"Very well, you are strong. We will let the matter of the Dark Demon Evil God Tiger slide. You may even enter the God Realm and become a God Realm Enforcer," the God of Evil said in a deep voice. Even the God King of Asura would find such an opponent troublesome.

"You hurt my friends, and now you want a truce? It’s not that simple!" Ling Xiao’s voice was frigid. The black chain vanished, and he stepped forward, throwing a punch at the God of Evil.

"You..." The God of Evil was incensed. He had made a concession, yet this person still intended to fight. "If you want to fight, then let’s fight!"

The God of Evil threw a punch back. The moment their fists collided, his expression shifted; a wave of excruciating pain surged through him. Ling Xiao had shattered his fist, snapping the arm bone and sending flesh and blood flying.

"Ah!!!"

The God of Evil flew backward, his face contorted. "This is impossible! How could you wound me to this extent!"

"Evil!" the Goddess of Goodness cried out, rushing to catch him. Seeing his hand, now barely recognizable, her own face twisted into a mask of fury. "Die!"

She struck out with a punch. Her true strength was actually slightly superior to the God of Evil’s, though she usually avoided conflict. Ling Xiao saw her coming and extended a hand, effortlessly catching her fist. Her power was indeed nearly a million catties greater than the God of Evil’s.

"This, this is impossible!" The Goddess of Goodness looked on in shock. She had used her full strength, yet he had still caught it.

"Your power is a bit greater than that other thing's, but it is still not enough!" Ling Xiao said, releasing her fist only to instantly seize her wrist. With a burst of tens of millions of catties of force, her wrist was easily crushed.

"Ah!!!"

The Goddess of Goodness retreated, staring in disbelief at her broken arm. The God of Evil stood before her, his hand already restored. He glared at Ling Xiao with hatred. This mortal had wounded them both; if he did not kill him, how could he maintain the dignity of a God King?

Ling Xiao held the Demon-Eyed Blood Sword, its tip pointing at the two gods. "Now, it is time to send you two to your deaths."

"You will pay a price beyond your imagination for what you have done!" the God of Evil spat, pulling out a strange set of scales—one of the few Super Divine Artifacts in the God Realm: the Scales of Judgment.

Seeing the artifact, a faint smile crossed Ling Xiao's eyes. He moved in an instant, reaching out and seizing the Super Divine Artifact. The God of Evil was stunned; he hadn't even seen Ling Xiao approach. As the Goddess of Goodness attacked with divine power, Ling Xiao’s black chains swirled, neutralizing every strike. With a massive force, he sent the God of Evil flying, causing him to lose his grip on the scales.

Ling Xiao turned his gaze to the Goddess of Goodness and swung his sword casually. The resulting sword aura severed her limbs and left a horrific wound across her abdomen. She let out a shrill cry as she collapsed to the ground.

"Goodness!" the God of Evil wailed, his eyes turning blood-red with a murderous intent that seemed to wish to tear Ling Xiao to pieces.

Ling Xiao ignored his glare as the black chains bound the God of Evil. A phantom image suddenly appeared in Ling Xiao's mind, and his eyes shifted, resembling an endless void. He swung his blood sword once more.

"First Form: Judgment Severed!"

A pitch-black sword beam surged toward the God of Evil, shredding the very fabric of space. The God of Evil’s eyes widened in terror; he sensed the approach of death. "Impossible! I am a God King! How can I die!" he screamed.

But reality could not be changed. Upon contact with the sword aura, his body began to disintegrate, his soul unable to escape. Only his God King divine position remained. One of the five God Kings of the God Realm—the God of Evil—was dead.

Ling Xiao’s eyes returned to normal. The black sword beam vanished, and the fractured space began to mend. "What was that just now?" Ling Xiao wondered. He had never studied sword techniques, yet that move felt as natural as breathing. After a brief thought, he dismissed it, attributing it to the system.

"No!" the Goddess of Goodness sobbed on the ground, tears flowing uncontrollably. Her body seemed to have lost its ability to heal. She had been with the God of Evil for ages, and now he was gone. She knew she could not escape the same fate as she watched Ling Xiao approach.

"Alright, now it’s your turn."

"You devil!" she hissed with hatred.

"Hey, hey, why am I the devil? You two were the ones who provoked me. If you hadn't hurt these two soul beasts, I wouldn't have come here!" Ling Xiao said nonchalantly. It was the truth; if they hadn't harmed the Azure Bull Python and the Titan Giant Ape, he would have left, and the system wouldn't have issued a quest.

"Enough. Now, I’ll send you to join him!" Ling Xiao said, his hand transforming into a claw. He plunged it into her chest and ripped out her heart. The Goddess of Goodness gasped, her eyes bulging, and she perished instantly. Even in death, her gaze remained fixed on Ling Xiao, filled with undying hatred. Ling Xiao didn't care; he dropped black flames onto her body, reducing it to ash and leaving behind only her divine position.

One of the five God Kings of the God Realm—the Goddess of Goodness—was dead.

Ling Xiao collected the two divine positions and looked at the Star Dou Lake, now even more devastated than before, rubbing his head in annoyance. He walked over to the Azure Bull Python and produced a bottle of Life Water, pouring it into its mouth. A black chain delivered another bottle to the Titan Giant Ape.

Within a minute, the mortally wounded Azure Bull Python returned to its peak state. "Thank you," it said to Ling Xiao.

"It's nothing. This whole ordeal happened because I killed that other soul beast to begin with," Ling Xiao waved his hand, just as the system chimed:

"Ding! Congratulations, Master, quest complete!"
